Welcome to fête!

My name is Emily and simply put, I adore food!


In the fall of 2010, unsatisfied with the direction my career as a registered dietitian was going, I decided to take the leap from office to kitchen to follow my long-time dream of becoming a pastry chef.  I currently work in a bustling bakery, making beautiful pastries alongside talented bakers and pastry chefs, and have found my stride in a professional kitchen.  I spend my free time baking at home and planning my next food adventure!

For me, food is nourishment, love, therapy, friendship, art, adventure, and beauty.

I share my world with a sweet husband, a silly dog, and a new baby boy who tolerate all my kitchen adventures.

Fête is the French word for feast.  Between work and home, my life revolves around food and I constantly crave my next feast.

I started fête in order to share my love for all things food, explore new recipes, improve my photography, and to keep a sort of “journal” of my experiences with food, travel, and photography.  Most of all, however, I hope to inspire you to break out the flour, turn on your oven, and get baking.
